I am planning on replacing the front fork on my jump bike and I see that most jump forks are 20mm through axle. I heard that with some hubs it's possible to covert to the larger axle size. how do I tell if I can do this with my front hub?

I have heard of QR to 20mm converters but not the other way around . If you interested I got a complete 160mm Nixon with a 20mm XT front wheel and 2.6 Kenda tyre .

Have you spoken nicely to your hub and seen how it feels about this conversion?

Alternatively, see if the hub uses sealed cartridge bearings. If it's cup-n-cone then you're outta luck. If it's sealed cartridge the manufacturer may have a kit for it.

Huh?

Depending on the hub you can run it as QR, 15mm, or 20mm. it's not so much a "converting QR to 20mm" as it is simply removing the QR kit and putting the 20mm kit on.
