BB, thing is this buddy i'm travelling with is single so no wife or other half waiting for him anywhere. but he does push 100% when he races so he is generally "kaput" after a race so when he finishes he's gonna have the choice of a: hang around at the finish like we did last year waiting for amateur, or b: hop into car and drive back to where amateur is and then "leap frog" her helping to take pics of her (and any hubbers i spot) still riding at that stage. either way, once she is safely back at her car him and i will be heading back to jhb

Um, this was all very interesting - but now: who's doing this race for the fun?  Dudet?  The long distance?  I haven't been getting enough training in due to various factors and have been "convinced" to still do the race..  I need some company during the looonnnggg hours on the road..
