(Deon) Posted June 20, 2013 Share You look like Christmas decorations seen from Bergvliet! Thursday night riders, whatever you do, don't **** up the negotiations! Do you know you are cycling passed the TMNP CEO's house in the reserve? Not only is this the worst case imaginable but to make the situation absolutely DIRE, you are most definitely NOT allowed to cycle on the top of the mountain - or have you forgotten the warning when TMNP carried your friend off with neck injuries just a few months ago? timbrink

(Deon) Posted June 20, 2013 Share Ping the Trail and Tar guys, Deon. Either that or the Cycle Lab okies. 2 clubs that definitely host night rides. Neither I think. An informal group possibly? Just so you know this is not an isolated occurrence, every Thursday they head up the hill, it is quite widely publicised but when it is so blatant, I cannot see any good coming of it. As it is, night riding as a whole is being questioned, this is a great way to get it banned, even from Tokai where it is allowed. T-Bob

POS I agree with you, it should not be done without permission, doing so put alot in jeopardy. MTBers are not allowed to cycle anywere....and when we are we are only allowed from sunrise to sunset...... Night cycling is just another dicipline of MTBing, like DH is. Remember how DHers struggled to get trails to ride? What did they do when there was none? They created them illegaly and might have done ore harm than good....... Night riding is another MTB "dicipline" and it is not going away. They should be catered for otherwise they will keep on doing what they are doing. My suggestion - we should get a club in place and negotiate with SANParls for 1 or 2 nights when night riding would be allowed......... *****Ignore my spelling and grammar i am only on my first kop-o-koffie Edited June 21, 2013 by Pappa Bear

(Deon) Posted June 21, 2013 Share Yeh, was the trail and tar guys last time I don't recall T&T being present on any rides that were in question. You could be referring to the the regular ride where a rep from the shop was not present, the riders rode anyway but strayed from the regular ride route and ended up in conservation land.. that was in Tokai, different circumstance. The previous incident was.. I'll find it.

I think its a mix of guys from X body fitness and freewheel cycology? i might be mistaken though. not calling anyone out, i just know they rode on Wednesday night and last night and leave from Claremont. Not sure where they rode either. Edited June 21, 2013 by CaneRat
