PB on Ben Cruz:

http://lp3.pinkbike.org/p1pb6168857/p1pb6168857.jpg Ben Cruz didn't have much luck today. At the start of stage one he clipped a pedal on the high speed section and had a brutal crash that knocked him out and snapped his spine board in two. He's lucky to be about and walking this evening, it's one of those times when missing out on a weekend of racing isn't that important.

Now I guess the spine protectors are making a lot if sense! With no packs on and all

Some &ick still commented in vital mtb comments "rookie mistake". What a punk. That can happen to the best and worst of us.

Loving this race format!! Longest stage still to come 15 mins long!! That is veery long !! And they're racing it twice and a practice run too!! 45 min on one stage. I would be dead after 25 min solid!

have to love those armchair pros. Some of them forget those racers are hitting warpspeeds. When they bin, it's ugly.

is there no video coverage?

Frustratingly not. A few clips here and there but no race coverage apart from Sven and Lee's photo journo.. which is pretty spectacular in it's selection. The images are.. wow!

Mavic's new enduro rim's first race and already a pinched rim.. :whistling: ??

We have a winner! Vouilloz takes Rnd 2 after an incredible 2 day battle with Graves that saw over 1hr of racing come down to a few seconds

And.. unless we have a late flyer, it looks like 3rd place overall @GregMinnaar has got his first EWS stage victory on the final stage!

huge step up by Greg. To say the man's versatile is something of an understatement.

Did i read correctly: gravy train has taken the overall lead going into the next round??
