Hi Guys

I have a dual suspension and I wish it came out with a lock out system to avoid the hassle of stopping first to adjust the suspension.

Is it possible to install the lock out for the front and back shock and if so, at what cost approx?

Some more info on the bike would help. What brand fork and rear shock?

Some forks and rear shocks allow for remote lockout conversions.

Depends on what suspension you've got. Contact me via PM or the link in my sig and I'll let you know what the options are.

How about we discuss this in this thread so everybody can benefit from the knowledge and not just you from selling him something?

Rock shock SID front, Rock Shock Monarch rear. I have the Giant Anthem X Advanced 29er...

I'm assuming what you're after is a remote lockout - for the SID it's pretty simple, but requires a new compression damper. For the Monarch I'll have to check options, but at the very least you're looking at a new eyelet assembly. The only Monarch that offers remote lockout as far as I know is the XX.

If you're just looking for a lockout setting that's a bit firmer than what you've got now, we can do that pretty easily - it just involves a bit of fiddling with the compression shim stack.

Not my intention to keep the knowledge to myself, it's just easier to contact me by email because my hubbing is a bit irregular and it can take a while for me to respond.

Thx. Yes, looking at remote lock out. Front is not that big of a problem cause I can reach down easily to adjust while riding but not so much with the rear shock.

Is your suspension set up properly because an Anthem pedals very well without the need for a lockout when set up well? If you're riding marathon distances (I assume that's why you bought the Anthem) the Anthem is a great climber without a lockout and the clutter that comes with it.

A good platform like the Maestro is better than a lockout because you have traction 100% of the time when climbing rocky sections etc so ride the bike as is.

Interesting topic

Anyone perhaps knows how difficult it is to do the same lock out conversion on a Fox 29er fork?

The Scott Spark 920 Carbon is super hot, agree. But absolutely love the Anthem X, complete joy to ride.
