Unfortunately the sport is tainted with doubts and it has become more natural from history to believe anyone showing outstanding performance to not be seen as great these days but to be questioned.

 

Anyone who is doing that is being attacked by you and SwissVan. Why not put away insults and discuss this.

 

Though I don't think any of you will ever come to a conclusion except maybe in 10 years time when one of you are proved wrong.

 

Everyone has a right to their opinion.

 

Likewise, Swiss and myself also have an opinion.

But what grates my pink ring is when people assume guilt regardless.

Questions are one thing, but the guys crying "dope" are only prepared to see the doping end of the scale.

I say that Chris Froome is just what this sport needed.

 

All of you who ask "questions" could do a lot better than speculating by just congratulating the guy and being happy that we have an African link in the yellow.

If he ever gets caught ,rip him apart all you want.

 

But as Lance, old FanD here has chosen one guy he wants to zoom in on.

What about Quintanna, Rodrigues, Sagan (the hub darling) or perhaps even our dear old Lantern Rogue Svein Tuft.

Why just Froome, Froome, Froome when it's only questions and speculation, surely it's easier to say congrats.

I hear you. But do you honestly believe that theres only one genetically gifted individual? Every single TDF rider has it in their DNA. Theres no way a donkey can do the TDF.

Yes and the Interweb is overflowing with 'opinions' on this subject, but mostly speculative, uninformed, unwarranted, undermining and denigrating in terms of Chris, who a few people know here personally. That is one reason they are being defensive, myself included although I do not know Chris personally but have been following him (literally, on Twitter) for the past few years. He flew past me up a hill here once if that counts.

 

There is absolutely no evidence (circumstantial or otherwise) to support these insinuations. Sky is the cleanest team in the sport, period. Chris is a 1st class guy, well mannered, reserved, and honest as the length of a midsummer day on the North Pole.

 

I understand some of you have had a serious blow to your egos and self-belief for the years of adoring LA, and then he turns out to be a fraud and a psychopathic liair (as Michelle kindly put it), but as The Boss once said, "Blind faith in your leaders will get you killed"

And WADA is so strict it's like you basically have to do it on Panado.

 

I'll be totally honest with you, from history I am in doubts that anyone in the tour is riding clean according to the WADA list. I'd love to believe otherwise but I truly am battling.

 

I believe Chris has absolute pure awesome talent and deserved the win, he rode and acted like a true champion. I believe Quintana is a man to watch next year now that he has learnt from his mistakes.

 

I don't believe any of these guys are bad or want to actually do anything to hurt themselves or others but this sport is in turmoil at present and something has to change before I can honestly see someone do wonders and actually get excited about it all because of tainted history for years and years.

 

I don't think I can support anyone until I see and know there has been a change.
