Tried emailing the pics to the manufacturers/distributors?

Why is the year important. The owner's manual will show you where the various adjusters are (red is usually rebound and blue compression). It will give you an approximate SPV pressure and tell you to put heavier springs when needed. In fact, all you need to know is printed right there, including the spring strength.

The spring's right if there's the right amount of sag. No manual will get that right for you, it depends on the leverage ratio of the frame. As for the rest, if you can't work it out send it to JB. He'll do the recon, and you've just got to sort out the SPV pressure when you get it back - trial and error stuff, and there should be a range printed on the piggyback chamber.

As for the year model - Google Image Search is your friend.

All the manuals are on the Manitou site under support/product manuals and support/service guides.

Just remember the drain pan, or your floor will never look the same again...

Okay - the spring weight is printed on the side - you can see there that it's a 400lb spring.

What bike is it and how much do you weigh? Might sound facetious, but put those numbers and details into google search and press send, then look for any / all of the MTBR / Pinkbike / MBUK search results. There have been MANY discussions regarding this.

Failing that - mail the manufacturers themselves and ask them. May take a while, but still.

Trying to find a manual so that i can maybe service it myself... Good idea bad idea? Wanna see if i have the correct pressure and spring. Trying to set the bike up correctly. Also i dont know if the shocks need a service. I think its a 2009 cannondale

If you read my last post, you'll find all the answers you're looking for. If you have any specific questions, like how to work out spring rates from sag measurements, give me the numbers - current sag and total shock stroke - and I'll tell you how to work out the spring rate you need.

Servicing a shock yourself is easy enough if you know what you're doing and have the right tools. Again, any questions - just ask.
