Don't know if you are a member here but thanks for towing me home when my (not so) trusty car decided to stab me in the heart by refusing to do anything that resembled starting at the Arboretum tonight.

I would have been completely stuffed without your help.

Things like this, and the friendly attitude many of the cyclists on the mountain show towards my youngster, that restore my faith in human nature.

There appears to be no power reaching the starter and even the old trick of running a lead direct from the battery to the terminal on the starter didn't work this time. She is getting picked up today so hopefully will be sorted out soon, assuming that is that the idiots I work for finally get around to paying me (a whole other story).

That would mean cycling down military road and I don't want to die just yet.

Plus I always have my youngster with me and I don't let him near the roads. It's very telling that I am okay with him hurtling down a loose, rocky, rutted and uneven mountain towards solid objects like trees and boulders but see being on the road as just a tad too risky.
