For all the down hill on the main Polkdraai (Stellies) - on the back roads their is some nice climbing! Lap takes about 4 min so by no means is it flat! and some mean corners.

Awesome job Wayne and Lights by Linea.

Looks well organised from the photos!

Just been wondering what the 3 different jerseys are?

Yellow = Overall series Leader

Green = Points leader? Are there sprint points during the race or only at the finish?

White = I dont know ... climber, youngest newcomber?

Great stuff,now how about organizing spring league or racing in spring?I really think you'll get the numbers.Good racing on safe circuits.Forget about the ppa.

That is the plan - this series was put together in a very short space of time. But we need all your help to promote the series not only by racing, but also getting the word out to potential spectators thus to make it worth while for the sponsors - as without money thing like this don't happen! Thanks again to Lights by Linea / Wayne Roberts for getting road racing in the Western Cape back on track!

The final Cat 1 crit on the 24th is going to happen in Stellenbosch centre some teams from up country have confirm that they will be sending their riders - so should be good entertainment value for the crowds.

Update - on the final night crit on 24th and not to mention Track on Tuesday tomorrow night:

The Night Time Crit is by invitation only so you have two more events to impress the selectors. As the street circuit will be tight, very fast and will be watched by thousands of people, the field will be limited to 50 Athletes, 16 of those spots are already taken by the Top Pro Teams who will joining us for the double header on the 24 August.

Tomorrow evening there is a track event at the Bellville Velodrome, starting at 6.30pm, go check it out - exciting and pulsating!

So only cat 1 for that night race?

I did my first crit the weekend, loved it! Racing is hard, pace is fast and I think this is promoting cycling and can defenitely see the sport grow!

We need some proper racing, yes the PPA races is nice....but this truly will promote the sport. Would be awesome if we can get a crit in town, through the streets...spectators will defenitely come watch! Imagine racing along the promenade in town.

Yup thats correct but their will be racing on the 24th for all cats (including cat 1 I been told) on the current cirt in the afternoon, believe 1 hour earlier than the current time for that day. The circuit in the town is quite tight so the field needs to be limited to 50 riders for safety reasons.
