So I have been having a problem with my magura mts rear brake.

I sounded like a cat being murdered when using the rear brake.

Phone the agent in pretoria... no here is the story

He said that I must check my chainring bolts, they are loose.The vibration from the rear brake makes the loose bolts vibrate

I know what I am talking about so said I dont think so, must be the pads

Sitting at home friday I thought lets check as I am out of my good ideas.

All 4 were loose. I fixed it and no more noise. Thank you for the info. I dont know everything

Just goes to show...one is never too old to learn something new!!

Must have happened quite a few times for the agent to come to this solution??

NOW, should I phone MY agent for the damn pesky creak sound that i have on my Anthem 29er?? {still looking for it}

Your cat has jumped ship to my MTS front brakes. I better check my stem bolts then.

Seriously I'm looking for some Magura 7.1 pads to buy because apparently the 7.3 OEM version pads on my bike are hit and miss.

Hmmmmm, thx for the headsup

Will check mine tonight as I'm suffering from the same thing...................I first thought I need to replace the pads as they might be glazed which interferes with their bite

:)

The Supplier of Magura is extremely clued up on this product............and goes to the factory once or twice a year for product updates and to see what the new tech is about................So he knows :)

Had the same issue with my magura louise back ones. Also retightened the disc, aligned caliper but the noise was still there... Had my spokes tensioned/wheel trued and the noise has been gone for almost 6 months now. Go figure...
