Thanks for the info guys.

 

Ya, i really wanted to avoid using the Zipp on the IDT. I have a specific IDT wheel and tyre which i use.

 

I think what i will do is to switch my winter program around so i ride Saturday and Sunday instead of riding saturday and running sunday. Will then have 1 HR based IDT session a week, and 2 power based sessions on weekend.

 

ONce we back in summer, will be back on the road for all of them.

Any reason why you want the powermeter on a wheel vs indoor trainer. Its going to be much harder hitting zones consistently and doing your FTP tests every so often.

 

If you want to use you powermeter data to check for weaknesses in racing scenarios crits vs normal road race vs time trail then yes, it is the right thing to do, if you purely going to use it for training purposes I would rather go IDT powermeter. Just my 2c
