I don't think you can just enter. The okes that race are a who's who of mountain biking. I'm pretty sure there's a TP tour where you do the route but don't race as such. I'll try find out for you.

Won't be entering the race. They offer guided trail weeks. Same route, same everything. Groups of 7 riders. All for €1350.

Was going to say that they have seeding runs to qualify for the race and only the top 200 or so get in.

A trip like this will be around R25000 give or take and dependent on exchange rates.

I looked at their website - it looks like it's a bit of a mix. The top end of the field are the bigshots of the enduro scene, but there's plenty of amateurs further down the field. That's if you go according the the race results.

But one of the guided weeks would be great too.

Ja on balance I'd rather do the guided thing. I don't need a stopwatch to tell me Fabien Barel is a whooole lot better than me. But that's me.
