Hubbers, I need some input please. I’m busy building (not myself....would require the expertise of a wheel builder) a second wheel-set for my 29er. Currently, I have two ZTR Arch EX rims (32H). Now for the hubs….

Current options (rear must accommodate 12mm axle):

1. Hope Pro2 EVO;

2. Novatec D541/2 SB;

3. Superstar Switch EVO (or maybe the Tesla range? Anybody some experience on the Tesla’s?).

Chris King and Industry 9 are a bit out of my budget. Are the Hope superior to the Novatec’s and Superstars? Which of these would you recommend? What will a typical 29er Arch EX/Hope/32H wheel-set weigh? Any other recommendations? I would prefer “bullet proof” over weight.

Hope all the way!

Im sick of trying to find spares for novatec.

Hope you call, order, and it gets delivered. one time.

and the sound is very addictive...muhahahha!

DT Swiss 240 hubs.

Pillar Spokes and Nipples, nice variety off colours.

And either Magic or ZTR rims.

Also you need to state your weight as some wheels are just not build for larger people.

Hope or Chris King if you don't mind freehub noise too much - they are noisy things but bulletproof (or as close as you come hub wise to that)

DT Swiss if you want silent freehubs - but the seals are not so good as the Hope hubs.
