identify a bike

hi all

 

I recently purchased a cannondale from a buddy which just says CAAD on it. i know that CAAD is now somewhere in CAAD 10.

 

Maybe this sounds silly i am trying to determine the age of the bike. I'm not unhappy about my purchase it is a nice bike.

 

in the pic its the black bike on the right.

By the looks of that picture I would say CAAD 5,

Really need to see some side pics to determine.

I had one just like that until a few months ago. Only things different were the wheels, bottle cages and pedals, otherwise exactly the same. Mine was CAAD 4.

Yeah have to agree, CAAD 4 had normal headset, but it was the first model to have the curved seatstays.

i actually bought this bike as it is a kilo lighter than my RC7000( on the left ) and the frame is bigger as i am 1.85m tall. hoping to get a better Argus time next year.

You will feel a HUGE improvement in stiffness. Cannondale was made famous for their Aluminium frames.

Chippo won various TdF stages on the CAADs.

 

My time on my CAAD at the Argus was 2:49.

Fantastic frames. Had one a few years back

CAAD4. Its got the same SCUD stem and FSA seatpost I've got on my bike. Still riding my CAAD4.
