yes it works, well. The Sram x9 type 2 hasnt dropped thew chain once yet with my Absolute Black front chainring, and when you engage the jocky hanger into locked position, it really makes chain fitting, wheel changing, and chainring changing really easy and convenient.

Pity they werent made like this from the start, happy with my X9.

X0 type 2 on my bike and XT shadow plus on my wifes..... i think its the single best technology advancement in the last 10 years...

Tough to say, but i think i prefer the XT? nice that you can release it when riding onthe road... just lets it shift a bit easier.

Was gonna comment earlier that since changing to an X9 type 2 RD I have noticed that the shifting is slightly 'stiffer' but not enough to be worried about it .... Gotta love that no slap on the rocky stuff though :thumbup:
