Awesome Race! Had a good ride, and the markings were top notch! Welldone organisors, see you next year! 2h30mins for the 45km, happy

Was too wet for my liking. Also I took a swim on the floating bridge  . Well organised for sure.

Organization and route marking was top notch. Some places very rutted and unpleasant on my hardtail.Had a tumble as well on one of the downhill parts after climb, but saw a lot of bruised up people around.Only part I disliked was the compulsory portage section wich seemed to carry on and on and on....But overall an enjoyable outing.

The last 3 or so km's were bad, but the guy at the race briefing definitely exaggerated re the "extremely" muddy conditions on the big downhill, wasn't muddy at all, just very slippery, also saw a few bad crashes

My girlfriend took a big tumble, colliding with the slower 15km riders. Her leg is fooked. I had my epic serviced yesterday, major service + brain service, today, I had to go find it at the bottom of a farm dam. Not a good day for me.

ai man! Just get a carbon hardtail with a "normal" fork, way less maintenance! I only hear of exuberant expenses when it comes to Spez bikes. Hope your girlfriend heals up quickly

It's not really the bike's fault that it landed up in the dam :P

My Epic did just fine today and was very comfortable around those slippery anti camber corners :D

It really was a very cool race. The only issue is the portage. I would really like to see a rideable section of single track coming down from the top.

For sure, I followed too close the guy in front of me, and the bridge just sank under the water, and oh well. Tomorrow we ride road in worcester. Hopefully a better day.

I found the dam crossing Lekka. Peddled like a bat outa hell because of my new Samsung in my pocket. At 69 kg the bridge didn't even get wet

69kg, no man. Learn to braai, and discover beer.

The green "mucus" on the main descent was treacherous - if I had 9 lives I think I used most of them (whatever was left was used up on that gnarly descent at Wiesenhof). 1419m climbing according to the gps.

I saw two guys come off bad in front of me down that first downhill, wheels just sliding out, I took it cautiously around the switchbacks
