I have vivid memories of plummeting down through the green fields and riding over a carpet of Jacaranda flowers

We do a lot of training on those tea plantation climbs.

Awesome riding!

Hi Nick I am sorry to hear about your loss.

Will be thinking about you on the hill. It's going to be wet!

See you at Sabie!

How was the ride, was thinking of you guys:)

Awesome Nick! Muddy and hard and fantastic.

Met a few hubbers, Thug on his fat bike surly (beautiful machine) and Karl.

Pity you weren't here.

My wife came second (that flash 29 paying off) and I managed to not come last.

Hey Kosmo, how did you do? Defend your last place?

Good meeting you EZRider.

It was a tough race with all that mud but thankfully it was cool and overcast which helped tremendously.

Strava recorded 79.6km with 2338m of climbing! Excellent training for Attakwas!

Respect to all who participated. Heard it was wet, cold, muddy, slippery, puddles that turned out to be mini lakes, bikes having mud treatments, etc.........plus the 2338m. The stories after the race most probably awesome. Wish I was there.

Like kosmo says: not very technical, mainly jeep track through forestry and indigenous bush.

Probably a bit muddy this weekend, but what the route may lack in technical riding it makes up for with spectacular views, awesome climbs, fast descents and sections through the second biggest natural forest in the country.

It's going to be great.

The forest was awesome! Which is the biggest forest?

Hell Ray, good performance from the Missus. Glad it all went well. How did you son go on his Flash?

Hey Nick, he injured his kidney falling off a quad bike so no mountain biking for 3 months.

A hard lesson to learn, seeing that flash sitting unused in his bedroom!
