Some of us race, some of us used to race.

What spectator/photographer problems have any of you encountered? Is this something to be adressed or are there more important issues at hand?

This is taken from another forum site-

For me personaly if I were partaking I don't feel particularly bothered by this specific scenario, but perhaps the topic itself raises some interesting points and others may feel differntly.

Although the dude with his foot is amost begging for someone to clip it Evil%20Smile

You reckon?.... Then he/she better do a good job Big%20smile

Seriously though, the spectating and photographing/snapping generally seems to be level headed, although with the growth of the sport maybe course safety needs a bit more emphathis (sp?) ?

I agree with your point Dion.  If I hit a idiot who was in my way it is his fault.  It is a cycling race after all.  I ran a large part of the course to get other views on the cyclist.  And every time I checked to make sure that the cyclist could pass.  I even jumped into some bushes at one stage much to the joy of the cyclist.

One guy told me a long time ago...  "if you are in my way and I fall I will bliksem you if I get up"

But another matter is the idiot parents who was chatting away.  The boy went very close to the path and it took his dat like 30 sec's to tell his son to step away.  Imagine hitting a child....
