OP, ignore the self proclaimed know-it-alls on here. Most of us grew up changing tubes on our bikes, but I accept that some may never have needed to do this before or never had the opportunity to do this (read, could not afford a bike ever)

Here is a basic instruction on how to do this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiKDLUMKQwk

What the clip does not tell you is:

- Ensure that the tyre is deflated before trying to remove it

- Remove the wheel from the bike (I've seen people trying to fix punctures without removing the wheel)

- Only remove one side of the bead from the rim

- Check the inside of the tyre for glass or thorns (possible cause of original puncture)

- Slightly inflate new tube and carefully place the tyre back on the rim using the tyre levers to get the bead over the rim on the last bit.

- Inflate slightly and work the tyre with your fingers to ensure that the tube is not pinching anywhere

- Inflate fully and fit wheel back onto the bike.

Thank you for a video as it seem easy to remove but actually what I meant the 29er tyre (tubeless if I mention) stuck on rim like glue. and only I need advice from you how to remove tyre without damage by force.

If you do not know what you are doing and cannot do it yourself, then take it to your LBS and ask them to do it for you and watch what they do.... and learn from it !!

Will take it to them if there is no solution from you.

Seems suspect. Take it in rather, sealant shouldn't be that sticky.

You should be able to pull it apart with your bare hands.

Agreed, but if the tyre has been on a while it can get tough - I suppose which sealant you are using, I have had it where I nearly broke a poep string breaking the bead.

Did the OP maybe buy a set of tubbies without knowing? No, I am serious.

OP, can you post a pic of your stuck tyre and rim?

How would tubbies fit on a clincher?

Did he mention clinchers? Sorry, my mistake.

If the sealant has glued the tyre to the rim you need to take both thumbs and press the side of the tyre away from the rim as hard as possible to break the bead - I mean press hard !!.

If you are a Sharks supporter you will probaly be tough enough to do it, remember our players are too tough for Rugby (Bismark).

Will try do it tonight to press extra hard with thumb to break glue hopefully.

Will let you know how it goes.

Do that, deflate the tyre completely and try bend the tyre over at the same time. If you do not come right maybe you must take it to your LBS (just as a previous post says) one time and let them show you whats going on with the tyre setup.

dude, i doubt you could damage the tyre using as much force as possible with your hands, don't worry about, just don't use extra force with tools.

Sorry forgot to mention, if it is a Tubeless setup, you don`t need to put in a tube, if the tyre is not cut or torn topping up the sealant should just sort it out. Check for a thorn or nail sticking in the tyre still and pull it out.

Reseat the tyre and you may need a few lusty blows from a floor pump or a compressor to correctly reseat the tyre and allow it to inflate.

Sad that some hubbers handle posts like this with such a poor attitude, the time it took most of you to ridicule the OP could easily have been spent helping the guy! We all started out here but it seems that the know it all's would rather spend their time picking on someone new to the forum than actually helping....

Not everyone has a high post count on thehub with a big brand name bike that apparently makes them a specialist in the industry!
