Volvo is always coming up with great safety technologies it's such a pity they can't be incorporated into all cars. this will definitely make a difference but it doesn't help if only a small percentage of cars are fitted with this. And the way we drive with little to no following distance - a car without ABS following the volvo might just result in a bumper bashing but I think this can only be a good thing.
