So after discovering yesterday that I'd snapped my rear axle.

 

Managed to sort out a spare wheel and am ready for tomorrow (not sure I'd say prepared thpugh)

It's a Nukeproof, but could of happened to any hub (freak occurrence).

 

Actually noticed a bit of movement in the hub on Sunday, put it down to a loose cassette. Only managed to check it out yesterday.

 

Soooo glad I had have a thru-axle, QR could've ended badly.

errm no. i dunno. but how long you been using it? if you managed to pull out the other half, post up pics of it together and the broken faces? Inner WhyDidItBreak geek is interested..

 

edit: the place it broke makes me wonder how the internal edge of the bearing inner race feels
