LMAO off at your bestevvar gaming PC analogy and my cheapie Shimano hub thinking.

Long-term price and convenience were what drove me to search for bombproof wheels.

Read that SunRingle supply Stans rims, only difference being that Stans look for the lightest rims and SunRingle prefer sturdier rims. But of course this ensure that a MXT33/39 rim will hold a tubeless setup equally well as a Mavic UST rim.

Didn't think that the full UST-compliance was so important as I'd ghetto with duct tape to close any spoke holes. After all, the DH tyres (eg. Conti Kaiser) I've considered don't even come in UST flavours.

And the wider the rim, the less likely a tubeless tyre is to roll of in a turn at a given tyre pressure.

The Kaisers are really nice but could be overkill unless the build is for a pure DH bike. Look at the Hans Dampf SG. Perfect for the spruit and everything else in Gauteng. Sheds mud quite well and grips pretty damn well. Otherwise look at Rubber Queens or WTB Bronsons.

Related to the topic. How do you guys rate the Superstar rims?

A wheel is only as strong as the person who built it so whoever builds it should know what he is doing.

Spank Spike rims on Hope hubs. Light and strong. You won't be disappointed.

So that means my wheels are going to fall apart any minute now seeing as my bones break so easily

Spank look good but are 6-bolt, so not for me.

Spank rims.. Not the hubs;)

Hope floating rotors are 6 bolt! If you want the best brakes to go with strongest wheels, lol
