I have eventually narrowed down my choice to these two FS bikes, which would you recommend? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Axis is owned by Scott. There has been tons of complaints about Scott after sales service.

There has been tons of compliments about Silverbacks after sales service.

I would say the silverback. The components are a bit better and I think the crest rims with SLX hubs will give the SB an edge over the Axis. I like the SLX crankset on the SB as well and prefer the Fox shock over the XFusion

Silverback.

Much better wheels.

Better cranks and better brakes.

Better rear shock.

Better aftersales service ( actually great service in my experience).

All the above already stated by other posts.

So why am I writing this?

One thing I can say is that those Kore xcd sl wheels are bullet proof. I have been absolutely thrashing mine this whole year with my 110kg backside on them and they still run perfectly true. I'm not sure the crest rims would still be turning by now with the abuse I have put them through.
