Beer ( lights) before a race

Recommended Posts

I don't see why? If you're not aiming for podium why not enjoy the luxuries of one of two cold ones. I'm no physiologist but aren't there carbs also in beer, the good kind? Bottoms up!

Alcohol acts as a diuretic - could stop you from being "pre-hydrated" in theory. This rule clearly doesnt apply to the S/S crowd...

Only problem I see is that you are drinking beer substitute and not real beer.

Doing 94.7 tomorrow and I've got a couple of Darling Slow Beers in the fridgeand a monster fillet with my name on it. Granted I'm not a podium contender...

Here I was thinking you meant right before the ride...

I tried having a Guinness before a lap at a 24hr race in January. Bad idea, I felt terrible for 2 laps after that.

Granted, it was warm, so I'm going to try an ice cold one next time!
