Anyone tried superstar components brake pads?

The mtb pads, avail in Kevlar, Semi-Sintered, Sintered.

Good value for money if you buy them in big packs of 4 sets etc but just wondering if they are any good. They make pads for almost any brake which is also nice.

Are these available locally or do you have to get them in from overseas?

I've tried the red ones (kevlar)

I won't be buying them again. I went through the Fronts & Rears in 3 days. To be fair that was in France. The longevity wasn't the thing tho it was the feel of the things. Intrestingly my mate Karl has the same brakes and was running the same pads on the the trip and felt the same way

I put in the legit Hope parts after that and those are still in the bike.

That's just me tho. And I've nothing against superstar. I've got a wheelset of their on my one bike and I've been mega happy with all other purchases from them.

Shot! Thanks for the headsup, was deadset on getting the Kevlar pads.

You tried their sintered or semi pads on your Hopes?

Apparently the Hope team riders run the Hope Organic pads if it's dry.

I find the stock Hope X2 pads a little to hard, was hoping the Kevlar would make them bite a little earlier , maybe semi sintered would help

Finally found out, stock or what's called "Standard" Hope pads that their brakes come with from the factory are organic - the pad backing is black. The Sintered Hope pads the backing is a golden coppery colour.
