deanbean Posted November 25, 2013 Share Am I right in the way I read the membership fees, in that you don't have to belong to a club to have membership of CSA, anymore?

davem Posted November 25, 2013 Share Am I right in the way I read the membership fees, in that you don't have to belong to a club to have membership of CSA, anymore? That is correct. Need to be a Club Member if you want a Racing licence. (ie Vets etc)

Ecko_1 Posted November 25, 2013 Share I asked this same question a few months ago. Apparently you just need the CSA licence to participate in races, unless you are chasing the podium.

Cellar Posted November 25, 2013 Share . Apparently you just need the CSA licence to participate in races, unless you are chasing the podium. What now? So the Bonitas team riders, for example, have to be members of a silly club even though they are fully paid professionals, but a funrider like me can just get a license and go race? Seems arse about tit, doesn't it? nickc

Nope, riders belonging to Teams registered with UCI and riders on CSA "Top Club" Teams can get a full CSA licence via the Team, as long as the Team is affiliated to CSA. I just meant the licensing part seems backward. Oh, wait, it's CSA. Backward is implied already. Nevermind.
