CT- warning Bakoven area

Hi hubbers

 

For all you guys that ride through the Bakoven area...

 

When the wind blows big time, as in this morning, about 10 big black rubbish bins got blow out onto Victoria Rd.

 

This AM we were gunning it back to town and as we came round the blind corner, they had all blown into the road. We nearly came down... it was pretty hectic.

 

So be carefull. Wish the owners would secure them.

Good thing my brakes work, else it would have been tickets for the four of us.

 

I think an email to the head of the refuse collection department will also be in order with a link perhaps to this site.

 

After collecting the refuse they just leave bins partially in the road and with the wind blowing these bins become mobile.

 

Also I saw the refuse trucks collecting refuse at about 4:30 to 5:00 pm on a Friday; the result was a huge traffic snarl up as we waited at each stop for refise to get collected. I mean have they got rocks in their brains? Really!
