Edge 500 Broken Tabs

So the tabs (that connect it to the mount) have broken off my Edge 500

Anyone know if Garmin can fix/replace this?

 

I see lots of threads on international sites about this...

I had that problem as well, although it was just one side. Called the local Garmin service centre, they should they can't replace the cover but can swop it out for a new one, but I would have to pay in something like R1500.

 

Wasnt worth it since I sold it for about that here on the 'ub (with full disclosure of course), I had already got an 800.

Have the same problem, this is how I damaged my buddies one now I need to find him a replacement unit, I have however been missing every single one on sale here for under 2k and cannott afford to spend more than that..

Seems like it's a major problem, with lots of reports of other units breaking the same way.

Pretty crap if I have to pay in for a new one, when there's nothing else wrong with my unit.

Will take it to Garmin and see what they say...

I have the same issue. I am working with my fil to develop a solution to solve this in a functional but good looking way. No promises as it is a wip but as a matter of interest any idea as to the price point you would be prepared to pay?
