I know there is a clever app or something that some clever dude created that solves the polar gps time stamp problem, saw it on the polar forum

Mostly to Strava and the likes ... I have used the other .tcr creation tools but it's a schlep and anyways it should be fixed ... damnit.... I mean Polar you're great sorry ....

Swiss and Izak,

Do you use the only the watch with GPS tracking or do you have a speed sensor or running footpod?

I'm looking at maybe getting them but I do not want them if they are going to reduce the battery life.

I use only the watch as it is with GPS.

As far as I know the footpod only really gives you strides as an extra.

I would rather get a cadence sensor to go with it as I am not that interested in stride length etc as I do mostly trail running.

I see there is a work around in android to import a gpx route to flow.

I gave it a try:

- Install SyncMyTracks on your Android-Device
- Copy a GPX-Track from anywhere onto your Android-Device (Folder /[storage]/SyncMyTracks).
- Start SyncMyTrack
- Choose Export / Import
- Select Export from: "Files Directory" & "Import to: Polar Flow".
- Start the sync.

- Now the session is in Polar Flow (on the date where the original session was).
- Now you can mark it as "Favorite" and delete the session.
- The favorite is still available and you do not have the false session.

Remark:
- I tried it only once and with a GPX Export manually from STRAVA, but it works quite charming.

So on the first glance works quite good. However it would be quite comfortable if Polar would enable this natively in Flow.

I only use the watch gps

Thinking about getting the speed sensor for the bikes because of all the tree's and to be able to see gradient info.

Does anyone know if its possible to see a summary showing how many km's per week / month / year you cycle / run / swim in the polar flow training diary? All i can find is a weekly summary that shows % and not km.

The old polar pro trainer you could do this but for the life of me i cannot see how to do it in flow...

Hi all you Polar users.

Please help me here.

I bought the Polar M400. (My first Polar product, cause I always wanted one.)

I use a Garin 810 for my MTB and got the Polar now for Running and Swimming.

(Also use it on the MTB to compare to my Garmin..)

Can any of you tell me if Polar can be set to upload to Strava automatically or do I have to go through the whole hassle of creating a gpx file everytime?

Love the Polar though.. awesome product.

Not yet.  As far as I know it is planned for a future release.

Now you have to go into the exercise and then scroll right to the bottom and "Export Exercise" and then manually upload file into Strava.

There is an issue however with the files being created having duplicate dates and times but that should hopefully be sorted out soon.

Went for my first indoor swim since I had the V800...

Worked perfect in that it recorded the correct distance and I think the stroke count is also right, did not manually count any strokes so cannot say 100% that the polar is correct...looks about right.

Export the .tcx file and not the .gpx file so when uploaded to strava it shows everything.Heart rate cadance speed and route.

Almost thought I said export exercise and not route... Aren't those what the buttons say...

Very impressed with the pool swim tracking, 100% accurate distance recording and it even picked up how many lengths were crawl, breast stroke and back stroke.

Now if they could just get rid of the silly Flow opening screen when you login showing a map of half the world with a list of unknown people...why can it not just open on your last saved training location??

No I don't want to click / zoom in manually myself, its a waste of mouse clicks....

Silly opening screen

Have any of you guys found it to be a bit frustrating that you cannot pause a multisport exercise?

When you press back it stops the current exercise and you go into the transition.  I would like for it to be one press - pause and then another for stopping the exercise and moving into the transition.
