Have any of you guys found it to be a bit frustrating that you cannot pause a multisport exercise?

When you press back it stops the current exercise and you go into the transition. I would like for it to be one press - pause and then another for stopping the exercise and moving into the transition.

Have not done that, only time I use multi sport is during an event, what u say makes sense tho

G'day fellow V800 users

Does anyone know how to load a training program into the V800, for example a 16 week training program with the various daily exercise types, duration and training zones?

Appreciate your how to advice

Thanks

Swissy, Yes

I have done it before.

In Dairy you add the Training target.

Then you save

Then you click the (STAR) to add the target to your favorites.

Once it is in your favorites. Then sync your watch to get it onto the unit.

On the watch you go to favourites and select the Training target you wish to do.

Thanks Ma'am

Hope you don't mind me asking more questions?

Why do you have to make it a favorite and if you make it a favorite what happens when you select it, for example if you have a heart rate zone set in that particular favorite training session will it beep when you go out of the zone?

I tried this last night (added it as a training target) except I did not make it a favorite and just started my training as normal, but got no feedback, warning beeps etc...

In the training target screen it asks for a start time, do you have to set a start time or can you leave it, what happens if you start later or earlier? My internal body clock has not been swissified yet

Hi there SwissVan

If not mistaken, you click on your name in the top corner, click on Sport Profiles, click Edit on the sport you want, Go to Gestures and feedback, you will see you can put Vibrate on. once you have done that Save the Sync..

Hope this helps

Hey Tbag

Ja I have the vibration thing turned on but have never had a vibration or alarm when I go out of a training zone. Only get them when I have a auto lap and drink alarm

Swizzy,

Not sure, I know when you select the favorite and you "click and hold" the light button you can set training sounds and vibration feed back on and off.

I haven't used them so if you have tested it. You can let me know.

Yep they work as advertised, i turned up the volume to very loud and could hear them (on the IDT)

Will check if i can hear / feel them running tomorrow... long sleeve shirt and jacket might dampen the sound / vibration

Anyone know why you can't buy just a speed sensor for a V800 - looks like you have to buy the speed and cadence set to get the speed sensor. The cadence sensor is sold separately though.

Don't know, good question tho

Why do u need the speed sensor with gps?

GPS doesn't work great in dense and built up areas. I use GPS and for example in the new "Enchanted Forrest" at Northern Farms it does not read too well, too much tree cover.

Ok so I have a question, maybe one of you clever okes (or ladies for that matter) can assist me.  I will be sending the question on to Polar as well but lets see...

Ok so I have used the Karvonen method to calculate my HR Zones as stipulated in the table below.

Image 1 (since the paste from word function works about as well as an underwater dartboard)

I then set my Strength training sport profile on flow.polar.com as per the calculations.

I also set my Heart rate to be displayed as % of HRMax as that would assist me in being in the correct zones for specific purposes all the time without having to remember lower and upper limits.

However since 60% of HRMax is not the same as 60% as per the Karvonen method as illustrated below

Image 2

SO here is my question:

Does Polar use the % of HRMax as a base for their calculations for fat burn % of Calories or do they use my input values for the different HR levels?
