Thoroughly enjoyed that, my second race, just glad they aren't all like Serengeti. Also my first proper crash, lost concentration and front wheel got out of the track, it felt spectacular from my perspective. Lucky it was between the reeds and the guys behind only saw me straightening my handle bars.

Was a bit tougher than the first... Atleast the mud was manageable this one. Race one was a mess. All the single track made it hard to pass the slow guys. And thank you marshals for sending me a extra 5km to mess with my seating. But in all nice ride. But next one duel suspension will be the call...

Was ok... But disappointed it was just under 45 km why not just make it the full 50?.

Loved the single tracks between the reeds. Hated that 1st 2 climbs.

My first MTB race in years!

Enjoyed it but at 42km I had a just taken a gel so I could blast the last 7km and make up some time when . . . I crossed the finish line! lol

I liked the course - not technical, not too muddy (in the UK we ride in mud 10 months of the year) polite younger faster riders (may I pass on the right when its convenient pls?) and actually not too hilly - although it wasn't flat either ;-)

I had problems with my gears the whole way - which meant I literally soft-peddaled the entire course - but I won't go into that here 'cos it will just sound like an excuse :-o

Suffice to say the bike was dropped straight back at the LBS after the race so they could do the job again but properly this time. Should have tested it after I got it back last time. Schoolboy error that I paid for today :-(

When's the next one?

Good race. Why were there so many DNFs in the 50 and 30km? What was the elevation for the 50km? Endomundo says 460+- but I remember the profile said 960.

There should be no moaning about the climbing, shed the weight from the pack :D

Mud was not that bad, just made it a bit of a dirty race, just the way we like it...

Total ascent according to Strava [with Elevation correction]: 605 m

Got just over 500m on the 35km on bryton. Not very hard race. Very rocky and bumpy fast downhills... Prob all punchers... Also many trees cut down to stump level and a few times had to pray I'll miss them....
