Schwalbe Ultremo DDs and ZXs are superb. My feeling is that the conti's are too hard and doesn't offer the same amount of grip as the Schwalbe's. The DDs have excellent puncture resistance. They are heavier than the ZXs, but that's why I use them as a training tyre. I'm not into weight weenie mentalities, so i'd probably 'race' on them as well.

I dont have any problems of serious slipping on wet road markings, if only because i try to avoid them as best I can. When unavoidable, it's a non-issue so far.

mate of mine has been using his ZXs as his everyday tyre, and it's been wearing pretty well. They have super grip, and in his estimation, better than the contis which he considers overrated. He has been expecting high wear rates from the ZXs, but so far so good. His expectation of higher wear rate is reasonable given that all tyres with high grip experience high wear rates. Logical.
