From Giant P-XC2 29 wheelset to ... ?

Thanks for the advice so far, but I am on a tight budget so the option I have is to buy a new P-XC2 set to replace my S-XC2. Not going to spend more than R2k.

The 8000km I have done on my S-XC2 set was good so I have no need for super fancy lightweight wheels, I want something durable.

The PXC2 really are a decent set of wheels albeit a little heavy.

Another option would be possibly a syncros set somebody took off a Scott. They're basically dtswiss wheelsets and pretty good value. A bit lighter than the Giants but not as sturdy

Eish... 18 spoke front and 24 rear on a 29er! I have a feeling my 86kg would run into trouble racing or trail riding those....

I weigh the same... No issues in the last 2 and a half years.

Bike was converted to Singlespeed about 18 months ago and has its fair share of riding.
