Newboy Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I am looking to upgrade my Santa Cruz LTc to 1x11. I do mostly ride marathon and and stage racing. Epic again this year. What size chainring would you recommend? I am thinking 32 or 34. Any suggestions?

I tested out some Specialized bikes over the weekend with 1x11 groupsets, and I would personally go for the 34 teeth... Marius 1

Stefan Cremer Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Don't get just one size, I have 32,34 and 36 tooth rings for different types of terrain. I would not easily take Mankele, Sabie, etc. with anything bigger than 32. For flat races a 36 can work...
