As a cyclist you try to be responsible - then you get one idiot who messes it up for everyone.

To the jerk in the blue powerade kit with the red and white helmet and ipod on, can you please explain why you wanted to annoy all of the motorists this morning by riding on Marine drive all of the way from Dolphin Beach through to Cape Town.

Not only were you annoying the motorists but you were also placing yourself in danger by riding on a narrow two lane busy road in rush hour traffic. Do you also have a death wish that you want to ride onto the N1 at this time?

There is a perfectly good cycle track that goes from Table View all of the way into Cape Town that thousands of people a week use that negates the danger that you have riding into town - or are you just too good a cyclist to use a bike path and mix it up with the commuters and "social cyclists"?

The verbal abuse between yourself and driver of the white golf was unnecessay as you were in the wrong.

In my view you deserved all the abuse what you got and you are my nominated A*Hole of the morning.

Fully agree G. Why, but why use that narrow piece of road in peak-hour with a perfectly good cycle lane less than 10 meters across the road?

Reminds me of the 3 cyclists riding abreast on Saturday from Melkbos to Table View with a lead-car in front and support car at the rear with hazards flashing while said three cyclists were cruising along at no more than 20 km/h, with a vehicle tailback of at least 10 vehicles. Tour de Melkbos? Not good for cyclist and motorist relationships.
