I phoned the bike shop and was told no to worry -but to put some windowlene on the disks - cos its usual to squeek! Now that Ive done that - it sounds even worse!!! My brakes are loud and very noisy! I wanted to go for a ride tomorrow morning -but now I have to first go passed the cycle shop! Unless there is a simple solution to this? Anyone? Help!!!

swift Posted February 26, 2008 Posted February 26, 2008 1. Get to the front of the bunch 2. Don't brake *NB - Don't do point 2 before point 1 Ok, sorry. Try cleaning your rims with petrol or something like that. There might be a thin layer of muck on them which makes them squeeeeeek

Mickeymoo Posted February 27, 2008 Author Posted February 27, 2008 They are disks but got them sorted I didn't put enough Windowlene on! Took back to shop and they saturated it with Windowlene and a long ride sorted it out! It was too wet to ride anyhow!!!
