To build or buy: Wheelset

Any advice please, I'm upgrading my wheelset on my 29er and I have a few thoughts:

1. Do I buy a new Mavic crossride wheelset which is currently on special.

2. Do I build up a set of Crests on, SLX hubs

3. Do I go for Arch rims on SLX hubs?

 

I weigh 75kg and the LBS said their is no weight limit on any of the wheelset mentioned above.

If I may ask, why SLX hubs specifically?

 

I'm almost in the same boat, having to choose between Crests on Hope hubs or American Classic Race.

 

Considering your weight I think the weight saving of the Crests over the Arch is worth it unless you ride very aggressively and want that extra bit of strength.

Thanks guys, only reason I'm using SLX hubs is because I already bought them on a great online special a while back. So I don't want them to go to waste if possible.

the weight limit worried me to be honest, the web says the weight limit is 80kg which seems a bit little.
