Bakkie tail gate bike 'cover'

Hi guys,

 

I've seen a few bakkies in stellenbosch with decent 'covers' for the tailgates which are then used to just chuck bike on the back.

 

How much do these covers cost and where can I look for them etc etc?

I use a blanket and a rope.

Could just add velcro straps.

I tie it down on the handlebars with a rope. No problems in the last year.

I know Dakine make a nice cover.

What about the cover being stolen off the back when I go for nightruns or during a ride?

I use an old thick wool mat, strap the bikes down lightly with tiedowns and chuck the mat in the cab when we take off.

Mine stays on my car permanently and has not been stolen (yet) ...

 

Nothing to say it couldnt be though ... but then again, that is the same as saying your car itself cant be stolen ...

 

Or you can just whip it off and shove it behind the seat when you are not using it

that coloured dakine one for R800 is pretty cool

 

only think i had an issue with with the old dakine ones was the lack of padding where the downtube went ...

But this one looks ok ... also has the bike holder straps which work like a charm
