A great wheel made even better: Lightweight ?Obermayer?. The Lightweight ?Obermayer? is a lighter variant of our proven spoked wheelset. ?Obermayer? wheels are built around extralight hubs by TUNE and Lightweight and feature lighter rims, as well.

? At 960 g or less, our new ?Obermayers? are our lightest wheelset for road races of any kind. Stiffness is still top rate.

The Lightweight ?Obermayer? is a direct descendant of the Lightweight ?L?Alpe d?Huez?. We developed the latter upon request from a leading pro team especially for the grueling mountain time trial in the 2004 Tour de France. Most of the innovations developed for this highly specialized wheelset have been incorporated into the new ?Obermayer? wheels, resulting in considerable advantages to you: You get an even lighter race ready wheelset with unsurpassed stiffness. In fact, the ?Obermayers? are just as stiff as our regular wheelset with the same spoke count, taking a top spot among lightweight wheelsets.

Not worth it for me/us mere mortals to pay that amount of money for just a wheelset...smiley21.gif, as U say one can buy a complete bike for that cash...

Expensive but is it really worth it at the end of the day?

Just think you cant race a Scott CR1 with those wheels,it wont be allowed by the UCI,so whats the point........

The trick here is, if you want a set you have to get into the queue, everyone who orders them gets into the queue, even Big Jan patiently waited his turn in the queue. Last I saw (which was a while ago) the lead time was a year.

I know a guy hat can make stickers like that. Then you can stick it onto your Cosmics or Zipps. With a side cutter you get rid of some spokes. smiley36.gif

hmm nice wheels.

WAY to expensive!

and heavier than the wheels i ride with so they can keep them!smiley2.gif

Ok, now you've got my attention! smiley3.gif

So what custom built wheelset do you then have, and 2nd more important question, are your wheels at least as stiff as these babies?
