Has anybody bought one of these or heard anything about it? I know that the brakes and rims aren't the greatest, but I should be able to manage - any other boegies in the spec that I should watch out for? I have also read that the rims aren't the easiest to get tyres to seat onto in a tubeless conversion either ....

Thanks for your comments!

The X-AL is a really good deal, like you say it has really good components.

I took a quick look at some reviews on the wheels and did not find anyone who struggled to make them tubeless.

If you keep those brakes clean and well bled you shouldn't have problems, with carbon levers, pretty fancy.

Full X9 gears, through axles front and rear, RS Sid up front and a Gobi saddle you cant go wrong.

I bought one of these bikes at the end of last year, got quite a good discount (about 20%), so you should be able to get an even better discount if they still have 2013 models available.

I also had to put down 50% deposit and could not view/test ride the bike anywhere, so yes, took a chance, but paid off handsomely!

I've had absolutely no problems with the bike up to now! Excelent components for the price and a very hot look as well!

The X-AL is meant for the heavier manne, its built a little stronger and thats probably why there is a bit of extra grams.

Doesn't mean it won't be good for lighter guys.
