Seeding process confuses me I started in E in Dullstroom and finished 67th Mankele finished 14th overall and I got a C seeding for this race

One more race and your seeding will be fixed, they use your best 3 indexes.

I improved my seeding index marginally, but was owned by a lot of guys in C and D. Seems B batch is about to become a lot more difficult to stay in.....

Would be nice if Jumpertrax could drop the batches you started in (cos they scanned you in) into the results sheet in another column. Would make bench marking a bit more interesting for the over analysers on Sunday morning.

Thanks so this race I finished 55th 3:08 so I should get into A seeding

Nope you race index is 39.49, you will have to do well in another race before it drops below 30 to get into the A batch Edited by Sasquatch

Just curious when we register for these events we are given the option to take the medal or donate the money to charity, but at the finish line they hand the medals out like candy.

What is the point then?

Was wondering the same, but it's difficult for the people at the end to know if you asked for one or not, unless I guess they put a symbol on your batch number or something similar.

interesting so I i enter the MTN VG RACE I wont start in A even though the two big races I compeated in I had a seeding way under 30 ?

Yes they work out your seeding based on your best three results, but I guess if you call them and protest they will probably accommodate you for the next race. Edited by Sasquatch

I started dullstroom in B batch, had a bad day, got seeded for trailseeker in D batch, Granted I don't do allot of racing.

Will see now where i get seeded for Hakahana.

I had a new number banner template in my Trailseeker Number envelope. It had a little CHOC blue badge on the one side. I made the assumption that the medal handerer out-er-ers (sic) would be advised that anyone with a little CHOC image on their boards had agreed to have the money donated to Charity, and therefore should NOT get a medal....

I guess.

TooTall - that was the diea, yes. Guess they forgot to tell the medal-hander-outers about it ... again. Great idea, cool initiative, but worse execution that the pamphlet bags IMNSHO.
