Good day Hubbers

Looking at purchasing a new road bike for myself. I will be honest I am new to the cycling scene and I have been told that I should ask away here on thehubsa for some assistance, as there is no greater opinion than that riders like yourselves.

I have given myself a R20k budget for a bike, might be alot for a novice cyclist, but I am one to spend to get a decent product which will last me a few 1000kms.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated,

Send me some names of bikes what you would suggest

My own experience is that incorrect bike setup can ruin your cycling experience, no matter how fancy the bike. If you are in Jhb I recommend Mike from SBR in Sunninghill.

How much would I be looking into for a proper bike fitting?

If you shop around you should be able to get a decent enough carbon frame with Shimano 105 components for R20K. I am told carbon generally gives a more comfortable ride than aluminium but can't vouch for that.
