Hi Hubbers

Take a look at the pics.post-14677-0-24509400-1399544096_thumb.jpgpost-14677-0-18143500-1399544094_thumb.jpg

This is my Scott Shoes that's about 16 months old and as you can see in very good condition. I only use them for racing. At Clarens the other day I felt something wrong with my left shoe cleat. After inspection I found this crack at the bottom.post-14677-0-81245700-1399544097_thumb.jpgpost-14677-0-71717600-1399544099_thumb.jpg

Now the question is, is it normal for shoes to do this or must I try and contact someone from Scott S.A? Cause surely if these shoes can only go 1500km, then it is better to go and buy better quality shoes?

If you have a sales slip I would try my luck. My Shimano shoes have lasted 3 years, I have had to stick the soles back on again but the sole has never craked. They still look in reasonable condition externally.

wear and tear issue. a clumsy step on a portage with your steed on your shoulder etc etc. too many variables, especially after a year and a half (almost) of use. damn shame, but ask Probike what they can do to if anything.

no harm in trying...

Thanks. Will dig trough my slips tonight.

Thanks. The problem is the other shoe is about to crack also. So the problem lies in the design

Thanks for the offer. Searched everywhere but no luck. Looks like I'm in the market for new shoes, as for SCOTT Shoes - Never again

I have Scott shoes(MTB and Road) and they are by far the best shoes I ever had. The only problem is my MTB shoes are white/yellow/black and I have to wash them a lot. Cracks like that can caused by lots of things, but perhaps the shoes with softer soles are different.

think that may be the difference. I have a old pair of Raleigh shoes that I rode/walked my first two Trans Baviaans with and I do all of my training rides with them. They have done more that 10times the distance as the Scott shoes and still going strong
