When a mate gets a new bike

I will try and do what I would like them to do when I get a new bike. But in all honesty I really, honestly get a thrill when someone gets a new bike and it is a major upgrade. I had that feeling before and get so excited for their sake.

I took a friend to cycle lab to show him around (new to cycling), and he walked out with a nice bike (29er). With all the new bikes around I still love my cheap and cheerful 26er!

 

The nice thing about all my friends and myself upgrading is that you get to know what works well and what doesn't, kind of trial and error without spending all your own bucks on the learning.

Hahaha! I have sold bikes through the shop to many mates over the years. But, I had to laugh recently when two girl friends - two weeks apart - bought new bikes from me. My phone was going crazy with messages from them. "Is mine better?" "Please tell her my bike is better." Etc, etc...
