Had the same problem even after a bikefit at Cyclefit. The saddle was the problem. I change my saddle and now have a Specialized Toupe on my MTB and Road bikes. You can also try a Selle SMP Saddle had one on loan. Did Ride for Sight with one of their saddles very comfy. I have also lost 17Kg

Funny man..

I will refrain from replying the obvious.. cause this is a serious thread.. I have been on the receiving end of these lifeless body part issues. ;)

Cyclefit in Northcliff. The 1h30 fit costs R700 and it will be perfect to the millimeter. If it is saddle related they can suggest replacements, but if your budget is strained you can always go back a couple of months later and get what you need.

It is the best money I have ever spent on my bikes.

The guys really know their stuff and are professional and pleasant to deal with. My LBS where I bought my back wanted to charge me double for a full bike fit.

Could't agree more. Had my fitting done yesterday @ Cycle Fit. Can't wait to do a long ride tomorrow.

Go for the 'sit test' at a specialized dealer and try out a saddle that's the appropriate width. This has solved all my issues - I can now feel the pressure on my sit bones only.

+1 on this - Used to ride Fizik and had the same problem. Now have spez saddles on all my (non spez) bikes.... problem solved.

Saddles width is prescribed based on sit bone width - giving you a more stable base from which to pedal. Also less chaffing and no numb nuts

Some good advice on this thread. I will make sure to try the suggestions, thank you.

Well whatever I did last week must've been serious because it has almost been a week now and it still doesn't feel like its "mine" - uncomfortable sensation.

I must mention that in that Sat Sun, I was clocking up very high downhill speeds (for a first time), in excess of 70kmph and the bike was vibrating excessively, so my ass area took quite a pounding.
