Iwan Kemp Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Oh joy. Another standard. Just what the industry needs. From the other thread...http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/standards.png Realized last night that even if this goes a a long way to solve deflection, it's only the rear wheel. Problem with that is - we need a solution for the front as most people out there are not jumping / bunny hopping / manualing objects that cause wheel deflection. Brilliant. GoLefty!! Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Exactly. Solutions to the wrong problem. Cannondale have found an interesting solution to balancing tension in the 29er rear wheel. No standard required just a bit of lateral thinking (pun intended). The front takes 80% of the braking load which is easily the largest forcs acting on the bike. Whats needed is a wider front hub with balanced spoke length and tension
