Hey guys,

Keen to join you okes as well.

A question though:

- Where is the honesty box?

- Do I need a number board to ride? I don't have a problem getting one, just don't have one at the moment.

- How far do you guys plan to ride?

- Is there a trail map I can look at?

A question turned into many. Sorry.

Just a note...

I rode there this past weekend and a lot of the new blue route section was closed off, I assume as it is too wet.

Just FYI.

Hey man, the more the merrier!

-honesty box is right by the parking lot

-you dont need a number board, just come pay your R30 at the honesty box and ride

-Since it's a beginner ride, I'd say 18km at a nice easy pace. I usually wait for the slower guys so it's relaxed.

- Trail map, yes! http://www.tygerberg...s/meerendal.pdf

The honesty box is at the last white building on your right hand side - it's built into the window of what used to be the restaurant. There are wooden benches in a patio are in front of it.

You don't need a number board, just R 30 cash.

I plan on doing the whole route, but you can skip the big climb up dorsberg.

Not sure about the trail map, but the total ride is probably about 15km.

Hope that helps.

You don't need a board, but you would need to pay to ride then. I believe the honesty box is outside the office on the right of the road just before the speed bump.

There is a map available on tygerberg club website, not sure how up to date it is. I do have gps files I don't mind sharing if you like them.

@Raydek, you joining the ride?

Not sure at this stage. My rear shock reducers busted on me this past weekend, so its in for service. Depending when I get it back, then possibly.

Admin - as per earlier request, please change the Subject of this post. I almost did not read this post as my thinking was that Contermans is not suited to Beginners but Meerendal definately is and the group seems to be doing Meerendal this Sunday as opposed to Contermans.

Can I join on Sunday? Need to clear some dust off the bike first and then collect some as I bail.

Yes please change it admin. I took one of the newbies to Contermans last week and he struggled a lot on the day. I think Meerendal is definitely more suited for beginners.
