Go 500. I dont have much use for the bit extra on the 510.

Wise words....500 still the best price point device.

i dont think it can be used as a navigation device

 

Maybe not full on navigation, but you can add routes to the unit and it can show your position in relation to the selected route:

I have the 800 and never use the cadence and rarely the HR, maps are nice for on route direction or when i'm tired of looking at how slow i'm going.

I picked up a 200 from a Hubber, works perfectly for my requirements. I use a HRM linked to my watch so I have most of the bases covered........

I love my Edge 200, it just works, and is perfect if you're only looking for speed and distance.
