Strava: IDT vs MTB

Hi,

 

I recently started using Strava as my IDT uploads the rides there. I uploaded 2 routes I often cycle on the MTB but do them much quicker on the IDT than in real life. How do I specify in Strava that I am doing these rides on the IDT so that the times, segments etc are kept separately? Can I specify another bike and then for each ride indicate which bike was used? Any other solution?

I have no idea what a IDT is.. as for bikes, you can select bike for each ride. I have 2 bikes and with each session I'll select my SS or geared bike, and it will show, but wont completely separate it.

What idt do you have? How does one go about to ride a section or route on idt?

You can toggle the activity to public or private....public means it will contend on leaderboards...private it won't.

When you upload your ride on your Strava "guess you using a garmen or n IDT Computer" you wil see there is n option that you can pic between "Stationary trainer" or "Commuting". Pic Stationary trainer, just add a new cycle name with your IDT name in it, then just safe it on that every time you upload your training.

Where in Starva do you get the GPX download. Do you have to be on premium to do that.

I think so yes....alternatively, you can download your or other peoples rides from garmin connect....there is an option to download as gpx file.

 

Tip....if you want to pee on alot of people's batteries, download the spruit, then shunt through it taking every KOM on your IDT..

Thanks for the advice. I uploaded from endo and then had a few undeserved KOM so need to make the changes and make it private. I added the powerbeam pro as a new bike but will make private.
