I popped into Eagle Canyon cycles today to buy something and was kind of shocked to see how little stock they have, the person helping me then said they got new owners recently who is busy sorting out all the suppliers.

Just wondering if any of you hubbers have more details about this? I'm simply curious, but do hope that they will be much better than in the past (not that they were too bad, but they are the closest LBS to me and it will be nice be able to trust their service and prices to be more than acceptable)

I'm looking forward to better service. The new owner is Conrad from C4 cycles .I bought many goodies for good prices from him. He really makes an effort to keep the customer happy .Good luck to new owner.

The new owner also has a shop at the shopping center 2 km's away. Went there looking for a track bike. Never heard from them again.

I agree, always had good service from Jacques previously. Took a wheel in last week for re-taping, 4 days later nothing had happened, wife went round, said they would do it quickly while she waited, flew in Fri night to discover tyre on backward and racing in morning. Not first prize.

Jacques was brilliant and really helpful! I unfortunately only found out he sold the shop after I booked my Cannondale in for a service. Picked my bike up today and the service result was shocking! So bad I loaded the bike into my car and took it straight to Cyclelab. Eagle Canyon Cycles wont see me again!

Doesn't surprise me, stopped going there about 6 months ago as things were just getting progressively worse....particularly the bike servicing!!!

I am gonna buck the trend here....I sent in 2 bikes in the last week for various bits an pieces and they been excellently sorted out, before dates agreed upon and at a reasonable price..... found the young lad to be knowledgeable and willing to humour a cranky ole bastid like me with my foibles ....

so , 2 thumbs up to Eagle Canyon from me...

And wait there is more....they let me take the bikes without paying for em as their machines were not operating due to Eskoms strategic brilliance...

I will be back , such service should be supported.
